County Council Elections 2017

3. Elections Timetable and Contacts

Nomination Forms

The 4 District Councils in Buckinghamshire run the elections in their area on the County Council's behalf.

If you want to stand to be a Councillor in the County Council elections, you will need to contact your local District Council for a nomination pack.

The pack will include guidance for candidates and the relevant forms which you will need to complete.  You will need to get 10 people who are on the electoral register in the area in which you want to stand, to sign your form to support your request to stand as a candidate and will need to hand deliver completed forms to the relevant District Council before the deadline of 4pm on Tuesday 4 April 2017.  Forms cannot be submitted by post, fax, email or any other electronic means

The nomination process can be complicated so it is better to submit your papers well in advance of the deadline if possible.  This way, if there are any errors or issues they can be rectified in time.  If you need to check the people signing your form, or need any other advice or clarification, please contact the District Council in the area that you want to stand.
