Rural initiatives
We are involved in a number of initiatives to ensure the vitality and sustainability of our rural communities. This includes developing a Rural Strategy for Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes for 2008-2012.
We coordinate the Buckinghamshire Rural Affairs Group (BRAG), in partnership with Milton Keynes and the Market Towns Initiative.
BRAG is the independent voice for the county's rural communities. It plays a central role in LEADER EU funding programme bids, holds an Annual Conference and responds rural issues such as Foot and Mouth Disease.
We are also a member of the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Food Group, which supports the local economy and promotes the county's produce.
