Library loan, reservation and overdue charges
With the exception of certain concessions, the following charges apply:

Fines can be avoided by applying for a renewal before the due date (up to a maximum of four renewals). You can renew online, by telephone or by visiting your nearest library. You can also sign up to email alerts for when your loans are almost due for return with the Library Elf.

Notices and loan receipts
Notices
Where library notices are sent by post eg to let you know a reservation is now available for collection or an item is overdue for return, 42p will be added to your library account for payment on your next visit.
If you receive notices by email there is no charge. To arrange this you can ask our staff or login, go to your Personal Details tab, check we have your current email address and tick the ‘Receive library notices via email’ box.

Loan receipts
You can now have your loan slips sent to you by email, instead of being printed, when you borrow items. Please ask staff to arrange this for you.
