Thrift Farm

Thrift Farm is a rural training centre for adults with learning difficulties. We offer 30 places for trainees from special schools and other local establishments. The trainees run the farm with help and guidance from a small team.  

The Farm is open to the public 9:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday to Friday,excluding Bank Holidays. 

Animal park

The park covers three and a half acres.  We have a good selection of farm animals,  you can see cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and donkeys. We also have a hatchery and various small animals including rabbits and guinea pigs.

Picnic and play area

We have a children's activity play area and an area with picnic tables.  Please feel free to bring a picnic with you.

Woodwork, craft and gift shop

Our craft workshop produces a range of woodwork, pots and other items using new and recycled materials. We also sell a range of clothing and gifts.

Nursery and shop

We produce a variety of shrubs, perennial, bedding flowers, herbs and hanging basket plants.  We also have a contract team for all types of private garden work.  Ask us for a free quotation.
