Be a Better Driver
Mature Driver Assessment
Everybody’s driving changes over time in different ways and for many different reasons. Buckinghamshire County Council offer driving assessments for mature drivers that aim to: restore confidence, help drivers to deal with new road layouts and systems or just offer reassurance, perhaps following a period of not driving or illness.
The assessment lasts approximately one hour and will be in your own vehicle on roads familiar to you and costs £37. The assessor will meet you at your home (for Buckinghamshire residents). You will be given feedback during the assessment and a written report will be sent to you by post. For more information click here to book;
You can also book via a paper application.
We have a number of resources to support older people:

Driving for Work Assessment
Driving is the most dangerous work activity that most people do. A Driving for work assessment can help to provide support and guidance to help drivers understand the associated risks and how to deal with the demands of driving in a work environment. Diver assessments can also help companies to meet their duty of care obligations under HSE legislation.

Be a Better Biker assessment days have been held by Thames Vale Advanced Motorcyclists (TVAM) for several years, with the support of Buckinghamshire County Council, in an effort to reduce the number of bikers being killed or injured on the roads.
With Be a Better Biker you can take your biking skills to a level that may help to improve your safety, allowing you to make better use of the road, and gain more enjoyment from riding. Whether you ride a superbike, classic, or tourer – if you live or ride in Buckinghamshire you’re welcome at a Be a Better Biker assessment day. For more information or to book click here
