Fed up with potholes – we are too!
Government funding cuts and pressures from other services such as social care means there isn’t enough money to pay for all the work which needs doing on our roads.
However, a new single council for Buckinghamshire would save at least £18m per year – money which the new council could decide to put into more road resurfacing.
Have your say - it only takes a minute !
Book now for Be a Better Biker 2018
What is ‘Be a Better Biker’?
Be a Better Biker assessment days have been held by Thames Vale Advanced Motorcyclists (TVAM) for several years, with the support of Buckinghamshire County Council and Bucks Fire and Rescue, in an effort to reduce the number of bikers being killed or injured on the roads. With Be a Better Biker you can take your biking skills to a level that may help to improve your safety, allowing you to make better use of the road, and gain more enjoyment from riding. Whether you ride a superbike, classic, or tourer – if you have a full licence and live or ride in Buckinghamshire you’re welcome at a Be a Better Biker assessment day.
The assessments include:
- Workshop with an overview of the principles of advanced riding including manoeuvring, overtaking and cornering techniques
- On-road assessment with TVAM observers
The workshops for 2018 will all take place at Marlow Fire Station.
There are only 12 places available and places are booked on a first come first served basis.
