High Wycombe town centre masterplan

14. Planters and central median features installation

We will be starting to remove the existing damaged planters, install central median features and associated works during night-time closures. The works will take place on:

  • A40 West Wycombe Road
  • A40 Oxford Road
  • Westbourne Street and Desborough Road, High Wycombe

The works will be carried out between 17 August 2020 and 11 September 2020 by our contractor Irvine Grenson Ltd.

They are part of the wider High Wycombe Town Centre Masterplan improvement scheme.

Road closure

The works will take place late into the early hours with some inconvenience and disturbance expected to nearby residents.

Affected residents and businesses will be able to gain access to their properties as usual during the closures but minor delays may be encountered due to the diversion routes in place.

All other road users will be diverted accordingly via Desborough Avenue and A404 Marlow Hill as the most suitable route for all vehicles. However, Suffield Road and Queen Alexandra Road will continue to remain open to through traffic with access to the Hospital unaffected.

Affected bus stops will be temporarily closed and buses diverted.
