About the project
A decision has been made to close the road. Information about this decision can be found on our 'Decision details' webpage for Roberts Lane.
The closure of Roberts Lane to through traffic is the result of concern in the community. This concern is that the construction of the new HS2 link road beside the M25 will cause traffic to be diverted to Roberts Lane. This is due in part to the temporary closure of Chalfont Lane.
Closing the lane will mean that traffic using this lane to gain access to the properties at the north end of the road will have to access the properties by using the Rickmansworth Lane entrance. Any traffic accessing ‘Three Oaks Farm’ will only have access from West Hyde Lane.
The closure points will be lockable gates with traffic signs to inform drivers. Further advisory signs will be displayed at the following junctions:
Roberts Lane/ Rickmansworth Lane
Roberts Lane/ West Hyde Lane
