Travel schemes and new routes

There are many locations across Buckinghamshire due to have new or upgraded rail services or stations in the coming years.

Through secure funding we have created community cycling projects across Bucks. These projects aim to:

  • reduce the impact rail upgrades may cause
  • encourage sustainable travel to train stations

We continue to look for funding and have lots of aspirational routes planned.

The government has published more information about the Local Growth Deal for Buckinghamshire.

Waddesdon Greenway

In September 2018 a traffic free route called the Greenway trail opened. The trail follows the old Roman Akeman Street to the National Trust property, Waddesdon Manor. It allows cyclists and walkers to cross beautiful countryside in a traffic-free environment.

Further information is available on the Greenway press release.
