Aylesbury and Buckingham Transport Strategies
Thank you to everyone who responded to our consultation, but it is now closed. We have finished analysing your responses and you can find our consultation reports at the bottom of this page. We are now amending the strategies and will update this page with the final documents soon.
Purpose of the consultation
You may be aware the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan (VALP) (http://www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk/section/vale-aylesbury-local-plan-valp) is currently being finalised (following public consultation on the draft) which highlights the key growth areas in the district up to 2033.
In order to support the planned growth for Aylesbury and Buckingham, two transport strategies are being developed; the Aylesbury Transport Strategy and the Buckingham Transport Strategy. These strategies will create a range of measures (including key infrastructure such as new roads) which will help to manage the transport impacts of this growth. This work has been jointly developed by Buckinghamshire County Council and Aylesbury Vale District Council.
The final drafts of the transport strategies are near completion so we are asking the public to have their say. Below you can find a link to the surveys on the Aylesbury and Buckingham Transport Strategies and the draft strategies themselves.
Please note that the transport modelling work to test the impacts of the proposed mitigation measures (infrastructure) in the strategy is currently being updated. The measures proposed within these draft strategy documents, the objectives etc. are all accurate; however the transport modelling outcomes might change as a result of additional growth and infrastructure being added.
A consultation will run from the 18 November 2016 to 3 January 2017. The links below allow you to download a copy of both draft strategies and their accompanying summaries – you can fill in a short questionnaire to tell us what you think of it.
Let us know your views
We need to know what you think of the draft strategies. Do you have any ideas, have we got something wrong or have we missed something out?
We’ve developed a questionnaire so people can either leave feedback on the draft Aylesbury Strategy, draft Buckingham Strategy or both. A link to the questionnaire can be found below:
Hard copies of both draft strategies and accompanying draft summary documents are available for you to read in Aylesbury and Buckingham libraries and Council offices at both Aylesbury Vale and County Hall. Responses will be accepted online, by email and post.
If you have any further questions about either of the draft strategies or the consultation you can contact us on:
