Changes to bus services due to COVID-19

In order to keep bus services operating during the ongoing pandemic with reduced staff and passengers numbers, bus companies are making significant changes to their timetables. You can see if your service is affected on the bus timetables pages

Travelling Safely

Please see the latest government guidance for travelling safely on public transport during the current crisis. Please note that it is now mandatory to wear a face covering on all bus and train journeys.

From Friday 24 July, it will also be mandatory to wear a face covering in Transport Hubs such as the bus stations in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Please make sure you take one with you when travelling.

Aylesbury Bus Station

To help with social distancing all buses that usually come into Aylesbury Bus Station will drop passengers off at a temporary stop on Great Western Street. Departures will continue from the normal bay, however, you may wish to use an alternative stop outside the bus station, please see options listed below.

Stops G1 and G2 on Great Western Street are currently suspended and services which normally run from these will depart from outside The Gym, at the junction of Great Western Street and Walton Street instead.

Please consider using one of the following town centre stops for your journey:

• Exchange Street
• High Street
• New Street
• White Hill/Oxford Road (alighting only)
• Friarage Road
• Railway Station
• Walton Street

These measures are due to the bus station's layout of an enclosed waiting room and restricted boarding areas. Please see our Where to board your bus poster to see which stops your bus serves.
