Bus Diversions

Tilehouse Lane, Denham. Due to the current lockdown Wyatts Covert Caravan Park has been closed. Buses routes 581 and 582 will not travel here until further notice.

Whielden Street/Whielden Lane, Amersham, until further notice. Due to a road closure buses will need to divert via the A413 and Gore Hill and will not serve stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street or the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane. For passengers needing to travel to Amersham Hospital a shuttle bus will operate between Gore Hill and the Hospital. Please see the Amersham Hospital shuttle timetable for details.

Station Road, Quainton (between the Crossroads junction and the A41), until August 2021. Due to works by HS2 this section of road will be closed. Bus route 16 will travel to/from Waddesdon via Quainton Road in both directions during this period. 

Station Road, Quainton, (between the Crossroads junction and Lower Street) until further notice. Due to safety concerns a weight restriction has been placed on the bridge north of the crossroads, route 16 buses will have to access Quainton via the unnamed road and Lee Road into Quainton. As such no stops on Station Road, Quainton will be served. The nearest stops will be on The Green in Quainton or along the A41 Aylesbury Road.

Moreton Road, Buckingham, Monday 4 January to Wednesday 31 March. Due to Cadent Gas works the section between Summerhouse Hill and Western Avenue will be closed during this period. Bus routes 131, 132 and 151 will divert via Western Avenue and will be unable to serve the 'Market Hill' stops or the town bound 'Western Avenue' stop. Passengers can use the Bus Stand on the High Street or they will operate a Hail & Ride service along Western Avenue. Please note that from the 4 January these will operate to revised timetables and route 18 will no longer travel along Moreton Road to Maids Moreton, please see our Changes to bus services page for timetables and details.

Steeple Claydon Road, Padbury/Herds Hill, Steeple Claydon, Wednesday 6 January to Wednesday 17 February. Due to East-West Rail works these roads will be closed during this period. From Bicester bus route 18 will run as normal to Steeple Claydon then turn back along West Street and divert via the road to Gawcott, Lenborough Road and resuming normal route on London Road at the 'Lenborough Turn' stop towards Buckingham (and vice versa towards Bicester). As such the following stops will not be served by route 18: 'The Library' stop on Queen Catherine Road in Steeple Claydon, the Main Street stops in Padbury or the Bicester bound 'Lenborough Turn' stop.

High Street, High Wycombe, Monday 11 January to Friday 26 February, 6pm to 6am. Due to works by Transport for Buckinghamshire this road will be closed during this period and the stops will not be served. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Castle Street or the Bus Station instead.

The Green, Aston Abbotts, Monday 11 January to Tuesday 9 February. Due to works to repair a sinkhole the western side of The Green will be closed and bus routes 153 and 154 will not serve the stops on this side. Instead they will travel down the eastern part of The Green and serve the stops nearest to the Wingrave Road.

High Street, North Marston, Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 January, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed during these times. Bus route 60 will divert and will be unable to serve Granborough, North Marston or Oving during these times.

Archers Way, Lane End, Friday 22 January, 9.30am to 3pm. Due to urgent Transport for Buckinghamshire repairs this road will be closed during these times. Bus route 48 will divert and will be unable to serve the stops on Archers Way.

Chapel Lane, Ivinghoe Aston, Thursday 28 January, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works by Openreach this road will be closed during these times. Bus route 162 will divert via Horton and Ivinghoe and will not serve the stops in Ivinghoe Aston on this day.

Bus Stop Closures

Oxford Street, Marlow, Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 January. Due to works by Thames Water the 'West Street' stop will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Dean Street instead.

Britwell Road, Burnham, Monday 18 to Friday 22 January, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of Openreach, the two 'Fairfield Road' stops will not be served during these times. Passengers are advised to use the 'Gore Road' stops instead.

Hedgerley Hill, Hedgerley, Monday 25 to Friday 29 January. Due to Cadent Gas works the 'Hedgerley Hill' stop will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the 'Village Green' or the stop on Stevenson Road instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common, Monday 25 to Friday 29 January. Due to Thames Water the Slough bound 'Templewood Lane' stop will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the 'Royal Oak PH' stop instead.

Thame Road, Long Crendon, Monday 25 January to Friday 19 February. Due to works by UKPN the two stops on Thame Road will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the stops on The Square instead.

Crest Road/John Hall Way, High Wycombe, Monday 25 January to Friday 3 September. Due to changes at the junction by Transport for Buckinghamshire the 'John Hall Way' stop opposite Next and the 'Empire Cinema' stop on Crest Road will not be served during these months. Passengers are advised to use the 'YMCA' stop for route 8 or the 'Asda' stop for route 32.
