Apply for or renew a disabled person's bus pass

If you are registered disabled you may be entitled to free bus travel.

First-time applications

You'll need:

  • an email address
  • your National Insurance Number
  • current proof of eligibility
  • a passport-style photo


You can only apply online if you have one of the following disability types:

  • blind or partially sighted
  • profoundly or severely deaf
  • without speech
  • without the use of both arms
  • learning disability

If your disability type is not shown above, please check eligibility and apply by downloading the form.

You will need a signed copy of your passport or birth certificate (please do not send originals), proof of disability and proof of residence.

Renewing an existing pass

If your bus pass expires within the next 90 days please renew now by downloading the application form


If your bus pass expired more than 180 days ago, or your home address has changed since your last pass, you will not be able to renew using the above method.

Replacing a lost or stolen pass

If your pass has been lost or stolen please fill in the replacement form. There is a £10 charge.
