Apply for or renew a disabled person's bus pass

If you are registered disabled you may be entitled to free bus travel.

First-time applications

You'll need:

  • an email address
  • your National Insurance Number
  • current proof of eligibility
  • a passport-style photo

Apply

You can only apply online if you have one of the following disability types:

  • blind or partially sighted
  • profoundly or severely deaf
  • without speech
  • without the use of both arms
  • learning disability

If your disability type is not shown above, please check eligibility and apply by downloading the form.

You will need a signed copy of your passport or birth certificate (please do not send originals), proof of disability and proof of residence.

Renewing an existing pass

If your bus pass expires within the next 90 days you can renew now using the link below, please note you will need:

  • your existing bus pass 
  • current proof of eligibility
  • your National Insurance number
  • an email address

You can choose to use the photo we already have. 

Renew

If your bus pass expired more than 180 days ago, or your home address has changed since your last pass, you will not be able to renew using the above methods.

Replacing a lost or stolen pass

If you pass has been lost or stolen please fill in the replacement form. There is a £10 charge.
