6. Library concessions

The standard library charges apply with the exception of the following concessions for Buckinghamshire items only. These concessions apply to Buckinghamshire Libraries stock only.

All Buckinghamshire library members are entitled to 1 hour per day internet usage on library computers. 

People under 18* No reservation or postal notification charges
People over 65 No reservation or postal notification charges

People who are unable to read as a result of physical, sensory or learning disability 

(Applies to audiobooks and large print only)

No reservation or postal notification charges

No loan or overdue charges

Home Library Service customers

No reservation or postal notification charges

No loan or overdue charges

Extended loan period

Library Buddy customers

For customers who find it difficult to visit the library in person but have a friend, neighbour or relative willing to act on their behalf and who is also a Bucks library member. (Applies to books and audiobooks only)

No reservation or postal notification charges 

No loan or overdue charges

Four week loan period

Reading Groups 

(Applies to Reading Group sets only)

No reservation or postal notification charges

No loan charges on reading group sets

Extended loan period

Playgroups/Registered childminders  Extended loan period for children's books

Assisted Adult 18 - 64 years

(for customers that rely on a carer to be able to visit the library)

No overdue charges

Assisted Adult 65 years and over

(for customers that rely on a carer to be able to visit the library)

No reservation or postal notification charges.

No overdue charges

* Library staff may ask for proof of age.
