Time to Talk Day (7 February 2019)

Thursday 7 February 2019 was Time to Talk Day, a day where we encourage everyone to have a conversation about mental health to help stamp out stigma and discrimination. Time to Change Buckinghamshire's Champions were out in force, talking to residents and colleagues about the importance of talking.

Waddesdon Champions Fund event (25 August 2018)

Cricket for Change at Waddesdon Cricket Club

Saturday 25 August 2018 saw Waddesdon Cricket Club take on Wendover Cricket club in a top of the table clash. This was also the stage for a Time to Change Champions event.

Through the Time to Change Champions Fund the event took place at Waddesdon Cricket Club and included activities for the local community including a BBQ and bouncy castles as well as sponsoring the cricket match itself.  Over the course of the event a number of conversations about mental health took place between champions and the general public.  Time to Change Champion Paul, who organised the event said: "It was great to be part of the Time to Change day at Waddesdon CC. It's been good to raise awareness for Time to Change and to try and spread the word around the stigma attached to mental health issues.”

Bucks County Show (30 August 2018)

On 30 August 2018 the Bucks County Show took place at Weedon Park, Aylesbury. The event attracts around 20,000 people each year.

This year Time to Change Buckinghamshire based themselves in the County Council's marquee to promote the campaign. Throughout the day large numbers of people entered the marquee including local and national politicians. Many meaningful conversations took place with members of the public about mental health with some people interested in signing up as Time to Change Champions.

Below are photos of our Time to Change project manager, Ruth Page, with David Lidington MP and our local Time to Change Champions with local councillors all talking about tackling the stigma around mental health.
