National Awareness Day - World Mental Health Day
Date: 10 October 2019
Purpose - A day to show our support for anyone who has had or is currently experiencing mental health problems. This year's national theme is 'suicide prevention'.
We will be raising awareness of the support available in Buckinghamshire through our social media channels as well as sharing some useful tips to help recover from some of the symptoms of stress or anxiety.
Date: 23 September 2019
Venue: Green Park, Stablebridge Road, Aston Clinton HP22 5NE
Purpose - This event, being held by LEAP, is part of National Mind’s #MindfulMonday campaign, which focuses on how physical activity can be beneficial for mental wellbeing.
The walk will take place at the beautiful Green Park location in Aston Clinton; it is a free event available for all staff, volunteers and service users.
I’m hoping to organise a Time to Change Bucks cohort to participate in the event. If you are interested, please send Lorna an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. It would be great to see you there.
Time to Change Champions meeting
Date: 1 October 2019
Venue: Bucks Mind, 260 Desborough Road, High Wycombe HP11 2QR (you can park in the Lidl car park opposite)
Purpose: Drop in for part or all of this meeting. It is a good opportunity for people to find out what Time to Change does and meet fellow Champions (or sign up to become a Champion). We will discuss what support TTC offers to Champions, organisations and members of the public in Buckinghamshire, and think about how we can open new conversations about mental health.
What can we do together, how can we support each other? The meeting will involve active discussions and brainstorming: how can we make the world a better place, an easier place to live in?
Please email Lorna at email@example.com if you would like to come.
You are welcome to bring friends and/or family members whom you think would be interested. I look forward to welcoming you, working with you.
