The Government wants to hear your views

Did you know? The county council disposes of rubbish and runs the tips, but it’s the district councils which collect rubbish from your bins.

Confusing? Inefficient? Absolutely! That’s why we’re proposing one, new council for Bucks that does everything. Far simpler – and saving at least £18m each and every year.

Have your say - it only takes a minute !

High Speed 2 (HS2)

1. HS2

High Speed Two is a proposed new railway that will run from London to Birmingham, having a huge impact on Buckinghamshire as it does so. The route runs approximately 60km through the County, from the Colne Valley in south Buckinghamshire to Turweston to Westbury in the north.

We maintain an objection to the proposed scheme due to issues including a flawed business case, irreparable damage to the environment and superior ways to invest in the country’s infrastructure.

However, it is critical to secure the best possible outcomes and mitigation for communities and businesses should the scheme proceed. Therefore we are trying to engage with HS2 ltd through the parliamentary process.
