3. How places are allocated
18/19 Paid-for school transport
Information regarding how places are allocated for the next academic year 18/19 will not be provided until February 2018.
Please note that any paid-for applications for transport starting in September 2018, received before the paid-for waiting list opens for the next academic year at the start of March 2018, will not be accepted
If you already travel on a Paid-for transport service we will write to you on the 19 May 2017 with an offer of renewal, or with details of the options available for year 11 pupils. You will need to accept this offer and pay by the 12 June 2017 in order to secure the place. A new pass will be sent out by the 29 July 2017. If your child does not secure a place at the school after you have paid for your renewal, you can cancel transport 1 September 2017 and you will be eligible to apply for a refund.
If you do not accept the offer by the 12 June 2017 you will be removed from transport for the 2017/18 academic year and the place will be offered to another pupil on the waiting list. You will be able to make a new application at any time afterwards which will be handled in line with the process for new applicants and subject to availability.
Paid-for transport applications for the 2017/18 Academic year
New applicants for a paid-for place on school transport will need to complete the Paid-For School Transport Form. You will receive an email confirmation and your child will be added to our transport waiting list. The waiting list operates on a first come first served basis (where a sibling is already travelling on the same transport and this is indicated on the application form, preference to travel together will be given where possible
If we are able to offer a place we will send you an Offer of Paid-For School Transport Form which you must then complete and return to us by post prior to the deadline on the form.
There will be two rounds of offers made prior to the start of the school year and one further round during the Autumn term.
If you have not been offered a place in either Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3 of the process, your request will remain on the waiting list. We regularly review this list throughout the year and offer any spare seating available. There is no need to contact the team to check progress of your application.
