1. Paid for school transport places

We may be able to offer paid-for places on our existing routes where places are available.

How we allocate your child's place

Once we receive your form, your child will be added to the paid-for transport waiting list. We regularly review and offer any spare seating available. The waiting list operates on a first come first served basis (where a sibling is already travelling on the same transport and this is indicated on the application form, preference to travel together will be given where possible. There is no need to contact the team to check progress of your application. 

Your child's place is not guaranteed. Due to the amount of applications we receive, if you do not keep up to date with your payments your place may be offered to another child. See the Terms and Conditions of Transport.

Payment must be made before your child travels.

Pay

Please note we do not provide 'paid-for' passes for local public bus service where tickets can be bought directly from the bus company. For more information on public bus routes and operators see our local bus timetables page or plan a journey on Traveline.

Paid for places fares for academic year 2017-18

Following a review of the 2016/17 fares, a small 5% increase to the annual fares has been agreed. This has then been apportioned across the termly and half termly fares with the charge added to these to cover the production and sending out of the additional passes throughout the year.

Paying for your school bus pass

Pay securely using your debit or credit card. You need your Routewise customer number (the 4 or 5 digit reference number on your letter).

The first time you buy from us you will need to create an account. This means you can check the progress of your payment and speed up future payments.

Lost or damaged tickets

Your school may issue you with a temporary 5 day pass while you are waiting for a replacement pass. Contact your school reception.

Emergency tickets are not available before the issue of a travel pass.

Refunds/Cancellations

Under the revised terms and conditions for a paid-for transport place, if a Direct Debit is cancelled or a refund requested for a paid-for transport place that you no longer require, you will need to pay for the remainder of the full term that you cancel in or have paid for. Where you have opted to pay for your place on a half termly basis and do not renew your place, you will not be required to pay for that second half term.
