6. Results and allocations
Results will be emailed on 29 March 2018.
Allocations will be published on the 6 April 2018.
We co-ordinate allocations on behalf of:
- Aylesbury Grammar School
- Aylesbury High School
- Beaconsfield High School
- Burnham Grammar School
- Chesham Grammar School
- John Hampden Grammar School
- Royal Latin School – Year 8
- Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School
We will email parents on 6 April 2018 to advise whether we have been able to allocate your child a grammar school place in accordance with the published admissions criteria.
Where a child can be allocated a place at a higher ranked school, the child will not be considered for a place at any lower ranked school and the child’s name will be removed from the lower ranked schools waiting list/s.
If a grammar school place is offered and accepted, the parent needs to advise the child's current school of the new allocation and that the student will not be returning in the new academic year.
If it is not possible to offer your child a place at a school your child has been tested for, you can opt to go on the waiting list (if the child is qualified) and/or request an appeal for a place.
If my child qualifies, how long will the qualification be valid for if my child is not allocated a place at a grammar school?
Please refer to your preferred school's admissions policy for 2018 entry, to see how long the qualification will be valid for. Generally the qualification will remain valid for one year following the date of the test. Therefore, for those who take the test on 3 February 2018 and who qualify (but are not allocated a place), the qualification will remain valid until 2 February 2019.
