We are in the process of making arrangements for appeals to be considered by the Independent Appeal Panel and shall contact parents directly with details as soon as possible.

4. Request an Admission Appeal

You can make an appeal if you have applied for a Buckinghamshire School place and been refused.

 

What you need to know

  • You will need to complete a separate appeal form for each child and/or each school.
  • You should provide your written reasons for appealing.
  • You should send your supporting evidence with your appeal form or no later than 14 calendar days before the appeal is considered (the Appeals Team will tell you the date), or the IAP may not be able to consider it.
  • The IAP will not consider any evidence provided after your appeal hearing.
  • Number the pages of your evidence and mark them with your child’s name.
  • Do not send Selection Review paperwork (this will be provided by Admissions).
  • Do not send school work or certificates 
  • Do not send photographs of documents; original documents; audio/visual presentations
  • It is your responsibility to provide your evidence in support of your appeal.

  • Prepare any evidence you wish to upload in support of your application
  • Prepare your reasons for your appeal 

Primary school appeal

For Primary appeals for Reception, September 2020 entry.

If you are refused a school place on 16 April 2020, your appeal form must be received by the Appeals Team by 12 noon on Monday 18 May 2020.

Appeals received by these deadlines will be heard in July 2020. Appeals received after these deadlines will not be heard until September 2020 or later.

Other primary appeal forms should be submitted within 28 calendar days  of the date you received written notification that your child was refused the school place.

The appeal form takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Secondary school appeal

For Secondary appeals for Year 7, September 2020 entry.

If you are refused a school place on 2 March 2020, your appeal form must be received by the Appeals Team by 12 noon on Friday 27 March 2020.

Appeals received by these deadlines will be heard in June 2020. Appeals received after these deadlines will not be heard until September 2020 or later.

Other secondary appeal forms should be submitted within 28 calendar days  of the date, you received written notification that your child was refused the school place.

The appeal form takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
