Books can be ordered online via the Buckinghamshire County Council book shop (link above). Please note that book orders are only dealt with during Buckinghamshire term time.  Examples of books that are available:

Phonological Awareness Training (PAT) Books - The PAT programme teaches children to read, spell and write phonically regular single syllable words by making analogies. There are no lists of words to remember, no spellings to learn. PAT is based on research identifying the importance of phonological awareness in learning to read. Includes worksheets and record forms, reading lists and sentences for dictation. After the early stages of use, a very small amount of adult input is needed. The PAT programme takes only 10-15 minutes daily. The materials are structured to ensure progression and consolidation. The programme has been found to be of particular value to children with SPLD (Dyslexia).

My Passport - A fun new way of supporting pupils moving in or out of primary school outside of the normal transfer times. We provide a resource book which can be photocopied for pupils to use. Pupils are able to produce an exciting personal passport of information which they feel comfortable to share with their new school.  It can also be used to support pupils moving from a first school to middle school.

If you have any questions, you can contact the book shop during term time at or call 01296 383092.
