Help to find a childcare place

The Childcare Brokerage Service helps parents find suitable childcare for children under 5 or children and young people aged 0 to 25 years with a special educational need or disability.

The brokerage service could be helpful for families who:

  • are worried about approaching childcare providers or schools themselves
  • are worried about leaving their children with someone new
  • wish to request help if all the settings are full
  • are unable to find a setting to suit their needs

If required, we can arrange to meet with you and your child to discuss your needs in more detail. We can also arrange and accompany you on visits to settings to offer our advice and guidance.

If your child has a special educational need or disability, we can support your child’s transition into a setting and work with staff to ensure that your child’s needs are met.

If you are looking for a 2 year old funded place but you have not yet received a letter confirming your entitlement, please ensure that you complete the 2 year old funding application form before registering for help to find a place.
