Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies is open today: 9am - 3:45pm

The Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies holds the archives and local studies library for the historic county of Buckinghamshire.

We are open 3 days a week and the first and third Saturday of every month for you to view our collections, help with research, or make an enquiry.

Our services

We provide:

  • microfilmed parish registers
  • local newspapers
  • computers for Ancestry, FreeBMD and other library services
  • archives including parish records, wills, and historic maps

Please bring proof of identity with your name, address and signature or show a County Archives Readers Network card.

A day pass for the use of a digital camera and digital copies from our microfilm readers and book scanner is charged at £7.50.

If you need digital copies from the microfilms or from the book scanner please bring a USB drive.
