Records of disability sport and the Paralympic Games
Buckinghamshire Archives holds a series of collections documenting the birth of the Paralympic Games in Buckinghamshire and the wider disability sport movement. The records are held in association with the National Paralympic Heritage Trust.
The largest collection in our care is the records of the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS). Part of the collection has been catalogued thanks to a grant from the Wellcome Trust.
The catalogue can be found on the website of the National Archives. For an outline detail of what else is held, see the box list of uncatalogued records of IWAS held at Buckinghamshire Archives XLSX, 29KB.
If you would like to visit us to use the collection, email email@example.com.
