Applies to: Transport across Buckinghamshire

Local Transport Plan 4 sets out how transport can play its part in Buckinghamshire County Council’s vision to make Buckinghamshire a great place to live and work. It was adopted by the Council on 28 April 2016.

It covers all types of transport and looks ahead to 2036. It sets out our high-level approach to transport in Buckinghamshire.

We know things will change between now and 2036. To help us respond we have identified parts of the Plan as being ‘live’. These may be updated when our understanding develops significantly. Any updates to these live policies will be published here.

Putting the Plan into action:

We will develop additional documents to support the Plan’s high-level policies. Links to these more detailed documents will be added to the ‘Downloads’ section below as they are completed.

Strategic Environmental Assessment:

The Plan was informed by a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). This helped ensure it protects Buckinghamshire’s unique countryside and other special environments.  You can download a copy of it from the ‘Downloads’ section below.

The consultants who undertook this assessment are producing a Post-Adoption SEA Statement, which will be published on this page once completed.
