How to get involved

The Council welcomes the public’s involvement in scrutiny to help strengthen transparency and accountability. Here are a few ways in which you can get involved:

Watch a meeting

Committee meetings are open to the public, just turn up. See list of upcoming committee meetings. Alternatively watch the meetings on webcast.

Ask a question to a Select Committee

Anyone who lives, works or studies in Buckinghamshire is able to ask a Select Committee question on an issue. These will be passed on to the relevant decision-maker for a response.

Ask a question

See more details in the Downloads section below on the procedure for public questions.

Provide evidence to a Scrutiny Inquiry

We welcome written contributions to all our scrutiny inquiries. To have your say on any current scrutiny inquiry email democracy@buckscc.gov.uk with your name, contact details and title of inquiry that you want to contribute to. View our current list of scrutiny inquiries underway for more details.
