Fees 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020
The fees detailed below are applicable from 1 April 2019 until 31 March 2020. If you would like to view fees for future years please see our 2020 to 2021 fees page.
Fees are reviewed annually and the new fees will be payable for any ceremonies held after the review date. Please call us if you would like to check any of the fees. Statutory fees are subject to a review each April.
Fees for ceremonies are payable in full at the time you book your ceremony.

All Birth, Death, Marriage and Civil Partnership
£11 each, includes 2nd class postage
Priority service (up to 24 hours)
£35 each, includes 1st class postage
Giving Notice for a Marriage or Civil Partnership or Appointment for a Certificate of No Impediment
£35 per person
Appointment amendment fee: £20
Civil Marriage/Civil Partnership combined with celebratory ceremony
Ceremony at a licensed venue
£585 - Monday to Saturday
£630 - Sunday and Bank Holidays
* £210 extra for ceremonies held between 5:30pm and 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays
Registration Office Ceremony Rooms
(Aylesbury or Beaconsfield Old Town – Choice of Times)
£325 - Monday to Saturday
£465 - Sunday and Bank Holiday (Available at Beaconsfield Old Town Office only)
Registration Office Ceremony Rooms
(Ceremonies at Fixed Times with a maximum of 10 guests)
£225 for the following:
- Monday at 10am and 10.45am, The Disraeli Room, Beaconsfield Old Town Registration Office
- Tuesday at 10am and 10.45am, John Hampden Room, County Hall, Aylesbury
- Wednesday at 10am and 11am, The Dashwood Room, High Wycombe Library Registration Office
Marriages and Civil Partnerships at Buckinghamshire Register Office (Aylesbury)
£46 (plus certificate fee)
These are held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 10am and 10.30am and are subject to availability. The office will only hold the couple plus their two witnesses, no other guests are permitted to attend.
This includes naming ceremonies, renewal of vows and commitment ceremonies and civil partnership conversion ceremonies. If you are having a Naming Ceremony and would like to include more than one child, the fee is £15 for each extra child. The fees include VAT at 20%.
Ceremony at a licenced venue
£320 - Monday to Saturday
£445 - Sunday and Bank Holiday
(Sundays and Bank Holidays are not available at County Hall, Aylesbury)
Ceremony at a non-licenced venue
£435 - Monday to Saturday
£570 - Sunday and Bank Holidays
£210 - inspection fee for non-licensed venues
£80 which is included in the nationality application fee you have already paid to the Home Office.
Private ceremonies incur an additional fee
£195 - Monday to Friday
£260 - Saturday
£310 - Sunday and Bank Holidays
Passport form for newly weds and civil partners (PD2): £20 (This figure includes VAT at 20%)
Consideration of corrections to birth and death registrations: £75 or £90
Change of forename added within 12 months of birth registration: £40
Consideration to waive the 28 days waiting period for notice of marriage: £60 per person
Consideration of a divorce granted outside the UK: £50 or £75
Booking fee for marriages and civil partnerships at Buckinghamshire Register Office (Aylesbury): £46
Non-refundable booking fee for all other ceremonies: £55
Amendment fee for all ceremonies: £35
Administration charge for cancelling a ceremony: £30
It is quick and easy to pay online, however before paying for your ceremony please make sure you have a confirmed booking with us.
Alternatively, we can take payment by cheque (please make cheques payable to Bucks County Council). Please note that we cannot accept cash payments of more than £100.
