Warren Whyte, Cabinet Member for Children's Services said, "In my portfolio, keeping children safe and giving them the best opportunities in life is our key goal. I am looking forward to working with Tolis to successfully deliver the improvement programme that we have in place."
Tolis Vouyioukas said he was looking forward to his move to Buckinghamshire. "I'm passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of the children and families the Council serves. Keeping children and young people safe and making sure that they get the best education possible is my top priority.
He added, "Buckinghamshire has a good reputation, but there's more still to do. I look forward to working with my new team at the Council, its partners and the children and young people across the county to ensure this agenda is delivered."
Tolis will join Buckinghamshire on 2 October. Interim Children's Services Director, Gladys Rhodes White will remain in post until then.
