    A day of remembrance and appreciation

    With just a few days to go before it closes, residents and businesses are being urged to have their say on the annual budget consultation survey, which closes on 14 November. The survey asks residents to tell the Council which services they value most and where they think Council spending should be focused. The information gathered from the survey is used to produce the Council’s final budget for the financial year 2019/20.

    'Historic day for Buckinghamshire’ as Government gives green light to unitary council

    A brand new county-wide unitary council will be established in Buckinghamshire, the Government confirmed today. The announcement by Secretary of State James Brokenshire has been hailed as a ‘truly historic day’ by County Council leader Martin Tett. The new council, which will replace the county council and four districts, will be simpler, better value and more local to Buckinghamshire communities than the current two-tier system, ultimately moving to a more sustainable future for the county.
