Buckinghamshire's first satellite school - an extension of St Michael's, High Wycombe - will open in Aylesbury next year. Mike Appleyard, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, approved the plan yesterday (Wednesday September 6).
More than 500 people have so far fed back on Buckinghamshire County Council's proposals to give Aylesbury a state-of-the-art library at a cost of £366,000. Three more exhibition events are planned, to give residents an opportunity to give their feedback.
Two volunteers are being sought to help Buckinghamshire County Council promote and maintain high standards of conduct among elected Councillors. They will work with County Council Monitoring Officer Sarah Ashmead, should a complaint be made about the conduct of a Councillor.
Almost 70 of Buckinghamshire’s children in care and care leavers have had their achievements celebrated at a special awards event on Wednesday (30 August). The annual event is held to recognise and celebrate the personal, academic and sporting achievements of the county’s looked-after children and young people leaving care.
