Calling all the ladies of Buckinghamshire…we need your bras!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Buckinghamshire libraries are helping by supporting the Mix96 Box of Bras campaign. Mix96 have teamed up with Against Breast Cancer to launch the 'Box of Bras' campaign to raise money and awareness of this terrible disease.

Throughout the month the Box of Bras campaign is asking you to donate your old and unwanted bras to one of the donation stations across Bucks.

Every bra they receive will mean more money going into research against breast cancer. The more boxes we fill, the more money we raise.

Aylesbury, Buckingham and Princes Risborough libraries will be official donation stations.

For every tonne of bras collected, Against Breast Cancer receives £700 to fund their research.

Against Breast Cancer are a local charity based in Abingdon who fund research into secondary breast cancer – you can find out more about the charity here www.againstbreastcancer.org.uk

By donating your bras you will also be helping small businesses across the African continent to sell them at affordable prices.
