Discover how libraries can help the visually impaired get online and enjoy the wide range of alternative reading formats available through libraries and our national partners.

Each year RNIBShare the Vision and libraries celebrate Make a Noise in Libraries (MANIL). The fortnight-long celebration encourages accessibility and inclusivity for all blind and partially sighted people in local libraries.

The theme of MANIL 2019 is ‘Get Connected’. Digital access can open up new ways to get connected, to access books and information and combat isolation. Reading connects people and for those living with sight loss, new technologies make it easier to access books and information using both print and digital technology.

For information on how Buckinghamshire Libraries can support visually impaired customers with digital devices please visit our blind and visually impaired page or ask in your local library.
