Following a series of successful events across the county including several pop up information stands in High Wycombe, Black Park, Aylesbury and other locations; speaker slots at local cultural and religious communities; and internal 'Click for a Cake days'. Our informal fostering information events are an opportunity to find out what's involved in becoming a foster carer and offering a Buckinghamshire child a home. You can ask our team any questions you may have and hear first-hand accounts from our long-term foster carers and the children they have cared for.
We know that the decision to become a foster carer is not a quick decision. We will take you through all you need to know to make that decision.
One of our senior foster recruiters will take you through the key facts including:
- assessment process
- overview of the training, support and recently updated allowance scheme we provide
- open Q&A session led by one of our foster carers and foster care leavers they can offer real answers to any questions you might have)
- how we can assist and support you in your application
- a chance to network with other like-minded individuals
