This sets out the principles for the amount of mineral extraction and waste treatment that will take place in the County to 2026, identifies the locations where the most important of these activities will take place, and contains some broad principles that will apply when planning applications for minerals or waste development are being considered.
The Council consulted on its Minerals and Waste Core Strategy Preferred Options (Regulation 26) between February and April 2008. The next stage of consultation will be the Minerals and Waste Core Strategy - Submission Draft (Regulation 27) - September 2011.
