Transfer Support

Moving to a new school is a time of change which can bring both great expectation and anxiety.

Every child is different, and will respond differently to the move.

We work in collaboration with schools to support the transition of vulnerable and/or anxious young people, between their primary and secondary schools.

We train teaching staff, deliver parent workshops, work with pupils in both primary and secondary schools, run whole class circle time and liaise with other agencies.

All Buckinghamshire primary schools can refer individual children for additional support. Referral forms and letters describing the criteria for referral are sent to all Buckinghamshire Primary Schools during the autumn term.
Pupils are then selected according to their need.

Referrals can only be taken via Buckinghamshire primary schools, so if you or your child, as a Year 5 or Year 6 pupil, would like to be considered for support, please talk to your school.
