Schools

Young people at school

Our schools work hard to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.  We offer high quality education that prepares pupils for adult life. Our schools are amongst the best in the country and perform well above the national average.

Here you will find information for parents and carers, including admissions, transport, term dates, support for children with special educational needs and school closures.

Admissions and moving school

These pages are for parents with children who are about to start school for the first time, or are moving to a new one. They will help you make an informed decision about which schools you wish your children to attend and how to apply.

Schools can also be contacted directly for further information using the Directory link to the left. Headteachers can send you a prospectus and arrange for you to visit.

School governors

School governors

Schools are always looking to recruit governors. Governors come from all sections of the community: parents, staff at the school, the business world, representatives of local councils and churches. There is always a need for enthusiastic and committed people to serve as governors.

These pages tell you about the different types and roles of Governors as well as how to let us know if you are interested in becoming a school governor in Buckinghamshire.
