Simply walk.... your way to feeling good

The World Health Organisation recommends we all do at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity at least five times a week to be healthy. Unfortunately nearly 75% of us do less than this.
A brisk walk is the ideal way to get this exercise. If you are wondering how to get started, why not come out with us?
Simply Walk…it’s simple, easy and free!
You'll improve your health, meet new people and learn about your local countryside
Over 500 walkers join us every week on 44 walks across Buckinghamshire.
Physical activity has positive effects on the mind as well as the body. Exercise releases "happy hormones" called serotonin which help improve your mood.

Benefits of walking:
• improve weight loss
• improve mood and confidence
• improve flexibility and stamina
• reduce risk of osteoporosis and arthritis
• reduce coronary heart disease and strokes
• reduce high blood pressure
• reduce risk of diabetes
• reduce anxiety, stress and depression
Don't worry if you are not used to regular exercise or are recovering from illness. Our Simply Walk leaders will encourage you to walk at your own pace to enable you to build up your strength and stamina.
