The car park is closed but the Airport Monument itself can be accessed on foot from the nearby Kingsbridge picnic area / car park. The monument is due for some restoration works in the near future.

Holtspur Picnic Site, Wooburn Green

Car park and picnic area with good views across the Wye River valley. A public footpath leads from the site for walks across farmland and through woodland.
Kingsbridge Picnic Site, near Stewkley

Car park with picnic and interpretative facilities. Centenary Walk commences from the picnic site on a one mile route through the fields and spinneys of Kingsbridge Farm.
Northmoor Hill Woods, near Denham

Car park and picnic area, with walks through varied and interesting woodland with coppice and wetland features. Opposite Denham aerodrome for light plane spotting!
Spade Oak, Little Marlow

Car park and picnic area, with easy access to the River Thames. The Thames Path National Trail, and local footpath walks lead from the site. Local pub for toilets and refreshments.
Thornborough Bridge, near Buckingham

Car park with picnic and interpretative facilities. A 4 mile long circular walk can be followed around Thornborough from the historic, mediaeval bridge passing Roman burial mounds, the remains of a mediaeval village and a nature reserve along the disused Buckingham canal.
Three Locks Picnic Site, near Soulbury

Car park and picnic area by picturesque lock system on the Grand Union Canal. Walks by the canal lead to Milton Keynes and Leighton Buzzard.
Whiteleaf Hill, near Princes Risborough

27 acres of woodland and grassland including three ancient barrows or burials mounds, Whiteleaf Cross chalk figure and many other historical features. The site is situated on the Chilterns escarpment above Princes Risborough. A car park with picnic facilities is available as well as bridleways and several footpaths including The Ridgeway National Trail.
Whielden Gate Picnic Site, near Amersham

This one acre site is a former bodgers seat (chair factory), once a common feature in the Chilterns landscape. The area has been converted to a small car park and picnic area, with a wooded boundary.
