Access guide

Getting here

  • The bus and train stations are only five minutes walk away from the museum.
  • There are several car parks within five minutes walking distance of the museum.
  • There is limited car parking space directly outside the museum for holders of disabled persons orange badges.

Entrance

  • The main entrance to the museum is flat and is accessible to everyone.
  • If you require any assistance, museum assistants are on hand to help.
  • Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome in the museum.

The galleries

  • The ground floor includes the Touch of Bucks Gallery, the Aylesbury Gallery, the Victorian Room and the Special Exhibitions Gallery.
  • The Art Gallery is upstairs, and can be reached by the lift or the main staircase.
  • The Medieval Room is the only part of the museum that does not have flat access and cannot be reached via the lift.
