A collection of resources for the deaf and hard of hearing. Included are books and audio visual items on BSL, Makaton, deaf culture, education and history and biographies of deaf people. There is also a selection of fiction for adults and children, with deaf characters, and a range of signed children's videos. It will be useful not only for those with a hearing disability themselves, but also for those caring for a deaf member of the family, or wanting to know more about deaf issues.

The collection is split between Amersham, Aylesbury and High Wycombe Libraries.

Every branch and mobile will have a hard copy catalogue of the collection, with each title accompanied by text and a picture, to help both our staff and customers to view what is in the collection. There are no loan charges for any of the items in the collection, requests are free, but fines on overdue items will be charged.

When searching for items belonging to the collection you can access them in the library catalogue by:
