Coroner

This is a statutory service set up to consider the cause of all sudden, violent, suspicious or unnatural deaths. It is entirely independent but financed by us. We appoint the Coroner and the appointment is then approved by the Home Office.

The service aims to be both efficient and sympathetic in the way it operates.  It conforms to government legislation and guidance notes.
