Fees and charges

• Please note that any cheques or postal orders should be made payable to Buckinghamshire County Council
• Unless stated otherwise, the fees detailed below are applicable from 1 April–31 December 2012. Fees are reviewed annually and the new fees will be payable for any ceremonies held after that date. Please call us if you would like to check any of the fees
• Fees for ceremonies are payable four months before the date of your ceremony or immediately if booked within four months of ceremony date.

Certificates

For certificates which are ordered online, a 1% fee will be added to credit card transactions.

Express certificate service

For an additional fee of £15, we guarantee to produce the certificate and post it to you by first class post on the same day, provided you contact us before 3pm.

Marriages and Civil Partnerships

Each individual notice for a Marriage or Civil Partnership: £35 per person. This fee is non-refundable. If you decide on a new venue you will have to give a new Notice and pay a further statutory fee for this.

Weddings in Buckinghamshire Register Office

Couples who wish to can have their ceremony in a small office at Buckinghamshire Register Office in Aylesbury, rather than our ceremony room. The fee for this ceremony is £45, but please note that the office will only hold the couple plus their two witnesses, no other guests are permitted to attend. These ceremonies can only be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at 10.00 and 10.30, and are subject to availability.

Religious weddings

The fee for a Registrar to attend a church wedding is £84.

Naming, renewing vows and commitment ceremonies

The fees below include the Celebrant's attendance to conduct your ceremony. For naming ceremonies, the fees are for naming one child. If you would like to name more children the fee is £35 per extra child. The fees include VAT at 20%.

Fee for ceremonies in other venues: £500 (includes inspection and attendance fee).

Licensing a venue

The fee for licensing a venue for three years is £2,000. If you want to add rooms during the existing licence period the process has to be started again and will incur a further full licence fee.

Citizenship ceremony

The cost of ceremony is £80 and is included in the nationality application fee you have already paid to the Home Office. Private ceremonies incur an additional fee of £105.

Nationality checking

These fees may by subject to change without prior notification. Payment is by credit or debit card only. The fees include VAT at 20%.
