School crossing patrollers

School crossing patrol

Patrollers have an important role within the community helping children and their parents to cross busy roads on their journeys to and from school.

Are you are interested in becoming a school crossing patroller? Are you over 18 years of age, reliable, friendly, have good health and enjoy being outdoors? We recruit both permanent and 'relief' patrollers. Relief patrollers provide cover for permanent patrollers.

On offer:

  • Good rates of pay
  • Holiday pay
  • Short hours, term time only
  • Job share opportunities

We are looking for people:

  • in good health
  • who can work on own initiative
  • with a responsible attitude
  • who can communicate clearly
  • who are happy to work in all weather
  • who are able to work every day during term time

Successful applicants must attend an interview, pass a medical and eyesight test and hold an enhanced CRB check before they are appointed.  Both 'off' and 'on' site training is provided.
