Early Years & Childcare are all important in a child’s development. A career in early years and childcare requires an individual to be responsible, reliable and flexible. You are also required to have qualities such as patience, enthusiasm, and be of a caring nature.
Society is so diverse, and children need to see this reflected in the childcare workforce.
Before you can start working or training with children you are required by law to undergo checks i.e., DBS checks, to establish if you are suitable. You will also need at least two detailed references (from your current or most recent employer) and full details of your working history for the past five years – including reasons for employment gaps.
