Moving up to Secondary School – September 2016

If your child is due to move up to Year 7 in a secondary school in September 2016 and you are a Buckinghamshire resident, you can now apply online for their school place. You will be able to include schools in Buckinghamshire as well as schools in other areas if you wish to do so. The online application portal will close at 3pm on 31 October 2015.

It is important that you read Section 1 of the Moving up to Secondary School Guide which will give you advice about making your application. Our ‘How to apply online’ guidance notes, which take you step-by-step through the application process, are also available to download.

If your child goes to a Partner School or a school outside of Buckinghamshire, and you would like them to take the Transfer Test for possible admission to a Buckinghamshire grammar school, you should have registered them for the Transfer Test by the deadline (10 July 2015). We will only accept late testing applications from families who can provide evidence to show that they have moved to the area at a very late stage or who can prove that they have exceptional reasons for not being able to apply by the deadline. If this applies to your family then please email us, providing evidence to show why you could not register your child on time.
