Feedback and complaints
We aim to provide high quality services which deliver good value for money.
We want to hear what you think about our services. We want to know when things go right, when things go wrong, and to hear your ideas on how we could do things better. What you say is important - it will help us get things right, put things right and improve our services.
If you have a suggestion for improvement, complaint or compliment, please contact the person or service area you have been dealing with. Contact details are available below, or you can telephone 0845 3708090, or you can complete the online form which will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
Unfortunately we do sometimes make mistakes. If this does happen, we want to say sorry and put things right if we can. Your concerns will be investigated, and if it is not possible to resolve the situation straight away, we will aim to get back to you within 28 days. We will also let you know what to do if you are still unhappy.
For further information see our Feedback and Complaints procedure leaflet, which is downloadable below.
Making a complaint about a County Councillor
If your complaint is about a county Councillor whom you believe may have breached the Code of Conduct, a different procedure is followed :
Need any help?
Please let us know if you need assistance in making your suggestion, complaint or compliment, for example, if English is not your first language, you have a disability, or you need help understanding what to do.
What if you are still not happy?
If you are not happy after making a complaint to the Council, you can ask the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) to look at the problem. This service is free and totally independent of Buckinghamshire County Council. The Ombudsman will not normally investigate a complaint until it has been considered under our own Feedback and Complaints procedure. Please note, however, that there a small number of types of complaint which the LGO is unable to investigate - please contact the LGO for advice as to whether your complaint is something they are able to investigate. For more information, please visit the LGO's own website at www.lgo.org.uk or call their Advice Team on 0845 602 1983 Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5pm, or Email: advice@lgo.org.uk, or Text 0762 4804323, or write to the Local Government Ombudsman, PO Box 4771, Coventry, CV4 0EH.
