Do you want to be part of the team giving out money to young people? Then why not join one of our District Youth Cabinets.

Youthbank is a grant-making panel for young people's projects that benefit the community.

Buckinghamshire has 5 District Youth Cabinets; these are in Aylesbury Vale Town, Aylesbury Vale Rural, High Wycombe, Chiltern and South Buckinghamshire.
The Cabinets give out grants to local youth groups from three 'pots' of money. These are Youth Opportunity funds, Youth Capital funds (for young people aged 13 - 19 years) and Youth Bank funds (for young people aged 11 - 19 years).
The role of the District Cabinets is to look at application forms and decide on how the grant money should be spent - YOU MAKE THE DECISIONS.
If you sit on the Cabinet you will have the opportunity to meet young people from other Youthbanks, both regionally and nationally at conferences and residentials.
Projects that have previously been funded: dance, drama, music workshops, community safety, volunteering, drugs awareness, independent living, special music events.

To apply, for funds complete an application form, for assessment by your local Youth Cabinet. A presentation will need to be given to the panel for grants over £7,000.
The District Cabinets also play an important role in having a voice in their local communities where they raise issues that matter to young people.
They are friendly groups who meet monthly at local venues, and would like more members to join them. If you are interested and would like more information please email yourvoicecounts@buckscc.gov.uk or call 01296 382448.
