High Heavens In Vessel

There is an ABPR (Animal By Product Regulation) compliant In Vessel Composting (IVC) plant at High Heavens, Clay Lane, Booker, High Wycombe.

The facility accepts and composts food and garden waste collected by Wycombe, Chiltern and South Bucks District Councils and garden waste deposited at some Household Waste and Recycling Centres (Buckinghamshire County Council).

Inside an In Vessel at High Heavens Composting FacilityIn Vessel Composting, is an aerobic, biological process in which organic wastes, such as food and garden waste are converted in an enclosed container (vessel).  The end product can be applied to land to improve soil structure and enrich the nutrient content of the soil.

Please see flow diagram illustrating the composting process at High Heavens below.
