Gerrards Cross

The Gerrards Cross Local Community Area has a population of almost 15,500 comprising the four parishes of Denham, Fulmer, Hedgerley and Gerrards Cross.  The two main centres within the area are Denham and Gerrards Cross although the key urban areas of Beaconsfield, Uxbridge and Slough also provide important services.  The A413 connecting to the A40 is a key route for the community, linking to Amersham in the north and Uxbridge in the south. A short section of the M40 and M25 also pass through the community.

Transport Matters Event

This event gave the public the opportunity to make comments on the AAP and transport in the local area. The main issues raised are as follows:

  • Concern that development will bring extra traffic to the area
  • The condition and maintenance of the roads and pavements
  • Speeding traffic

These comments and concerns have been passed on to the relevant teams within the Transportation Service, These teams will take the comments into consideration and take action where appropriate.
