Chepping Wye Valley

The Chepping Wye Valley Local Community Area has a population of just over 35,000, comprising of the five parishes of Hazlemere, Chepping Wycombe, Little Marlow, Wooburn and Hedsor and Bourne End. The main centres within the area are Bourne End, Flackwell Heath and Wooburn although the key urban areas of High Wycombe, Marlow, Beaconsfield and Maidenhead also provide important services. Key routes within the area include the A404, A4155 and A40 that link the area with High Wycombe, Marlow and Maidenhead. A section of the M40 also passes through the community providing links to London and the Midlands.

Transport Matters event

This event gave the public the opportunity to make comments on the AAP and transport in the local area. The main issues raised are as follows:

  • The need for improvements to pedestrian and cycling routes
  • The need to develop bus route to serve both new developments and existing facilities

These comments and concerns have been passed on to the relevant teams within the Transportation Service, These teams will take the comments into consideration and take action where appropriate.
